Pet Luv-O-Meter
We love our pets!
Inventor: Richard Aull
We love our pets! And we love to measure things; miles run, calories eaten, weight lost, etc. These simple notions are what drove the idea behind the Pet Luv-O-Meter.
A novelty device built into a dog or cat collar will glow in proportion to the amount of affection (petting, caressing, etc) given to it by its care-giver.
Shown at Inpex 2006 (the nation's largest inventors showcase) our visual prototype attracted much media attention as indicated by the number of media outlets that featured it:
Pittsburgh's Ch-4 news,
Local radio interview
Jay Leno's feature, "Pitch to America"
Also mentioned by the Gadget Girl (AKA, Nicole Hait, show manager of the Invention and New Product Expo (INPEX), as one of the most memorable products she's seen over the years at Inpex (see link: http://www.thebachelorguy.com/gadget-girl-does-inpex.html).
Invention status:
- Granted a U.S. Patent in 2003 (patent no. 6,650,243)
- We are moving toward getting a fully working protoype assembled so that we can interest a manufacturer to help us get the product to market. Our goal is to license it to a manufacturer who sees the sales potential of this product.
We love our pets!
